What means ojama simasu/simasita?
「おじゃまします/しました」は、どういう意味ですか。
When the Japanese say “ojama simasu”, the person doesn't try to disturb you.
It is a peculiar greeting in Japanese always used for a person very not intimate, and it means “excuse me”.
The Japanese might say “ojama simasu” even to the friend who is talking with other person in SL.
日本人（にほんじん）が「お邪魔（じゃま）します」と言（い）っても、その人（ひと）はあなたの邪魔をしようとしているのではありません。
それは日本（にほん）では、それほど親密（しんみつ）でない人に対（たい）して、いつも使（つか）われる奇妙な挨拶（あいさつ）で、“excuse me”という意味です。

As you think, the person who said so didn’t disturb you.

“siturei simasu/simasita” is similar to “ojama simasu/simasita”.
As you know, the person who said so won’t become impolite to you.
「失礼（しつれい）します/しました」は「お邪魔（じゃま）します/しました」に似（に）ています。
お分（わ）かりのように、そう言（い）った人（ひと）は、あなたに失礼なことをするつもりはありません。
You should say as follows formally in RL.
When you visit others' house, say ”ojama simasu” or “siturei simasu”.
When you enter superior's room in office, say “siturei simasu”.
When you call the clerk in shop, say “sumimasen”.
When you talk to a person who is talking with other person, say “ohanasi tyuu no tokoro situreisimasu”.
「お話（はな）し中（ちゅう）のところ、失礼（しつれい）します。」
It means “Could I talk to you though you are talking with others?”
リアルライフでは、公式（こうしき）には次（つぎ）のように言（い）えばいいでしょう。
他（た）の人（ひと）の家（いえ）を訪（おとず）れるときは、「お邪魔（じゃま）します」か「失礼（しつれい）します」と言いなさい。
オフィスで上司（じょうし）の部屋（へや）に入（はい）るときは、「失礼します」と言いなさい。
店（みせ）で店員（てんいん）を呼（よ）ぶときは、「すみません」と言いなさい。
他の人と話（はな）している人に話しかけるときは、「お話し中（ちゅう）のところ、失礼します」と言いなさい。
それは、“Could I talk to you though you are talking with others?”という意味（いみ）です。
